Multi-layer application assessment

Web Application Penetration Testing

We test web applications and critical business logic to uncover vulnerabilities attackers could exploit across your systems and operations.

Why this matters for iGaming

Where the Logic Is the Money

Web applications often sit where accounts, transactions, permissions, and critical business rules meet. A weakness in that logic can turn legitimate functionality into a direct path to abuse.
We test beyond standard web vulnerabilities to find those paths. By manipulating workflows, permissions, transactions, and application logic, we uncover weaknesses automated testing can miss.
What we assess

Where You are Most Exposed

Full application surface, with depth concentrated where iGaming platforms are actually exposed.

Authentication

The features include login, registration, multi-factor authentication, password reset, and resistance to credential stuffing and account takeover.

Session management

Token handling, session fixation, the possibility of multiple sessions, and session validity after logging out.

Authorization

The access boundaries between players and between players and staff include IDOR, privilege escalation, horizontal access, and vertical access.

Business logic

Abuse of bonus and promotion offers, circumvention of wagering requirements, manipulation of withdrawals and deposits, race conditions concerning bets and settlements, and multiple accounting routes.

Input handling

Injection, XSS, SSRF, file upload including KYC document flows, and unsafe deserialization.

Data exposure

Where player PII, identity documents, and transaction data can leak through the application itself.

Back-office interfaces

The web interfaces which have higher privileges were tested as part of the same assessment, not as a final addition.
In practice

Five Failure Modes That Actually Cost Operators Money

Each of these is a credible, recurring iGaming failure pattern, tested under agreed rules of engagement rather than chased as an open-ended bug hunt

/01

Can a bonus be claimed without earning it?

Chaining legitimate-looking requests to claim, clear, or convert a bonus without meeting the underlying conditions is the business-logic class that costs operators the most and appears least often in automated scans.
/02

Can an account be taken over?

Weaknesses in password reset, MFA, or session handling that let an attacker into a player's account, and from there, into stored payment methods and withdrawals.
/03

Can one player reach another player's data?

Broken object-level authorization exposing another user's profile, documents, bet history, or transactions by changing an identifier.
/04

Can the cashier logic be manipulated?

Altering amounts, currencies, states, or timing in deposit and withdrawal flows, or racing concurrent requests to extract more than a balance allows.
/05

Does KYC upload become an entry point?

Document-upload endpoints abused for malicious file handling, SSRF, or bypass of identity verification altogether.
Our methodology

The Process Behind the Findings.

A methodology built for teams that read past the executive summary. Each element below is intended to withstand technical scrutiny. Our coverage spans injection (SQL, NoSQL, command), XSS, SSRF, IDOR, and broken access control; authentication and session flaws; business logic and race conditions; insecure file upload; misconfiguration; and sensitive data exposure, all in a non-production or agreed-upon environment under agreed-upon rules of engagement.

Manual-led, beyond OWASP Top 10

A full-scope offensive assessment of authentication, authorization, session management, input validation, and business logic.

Business-logic focus

Beyond named vulnerability classes, testing models how a real user could abuse legitimate functionality; the flaws scanners have no rule for because, technically, nothing is broken.

Tested across every role

Assessment spans player, VIP/tiered, and staff/admin roles to surface access-control gaps among them.

AI extends reach, judgment stays human.

AI broadens reconnaissance and test-case generation to cover more attack paths without diluting depth. Judgment and decision-making stay with the engineer at every step.

Mapped to standards you already trust

The methodology refers to established references such as the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide and the OWASP Top 10, ensuring that the results remain clear and comparable between different engagements.
Scope

One Application, Fully Tested

Our testing covers everywhere a player or a payment touches the platform.

What the engagement covers

  • Player-facing platform: casino, sportsbook, or platform front end and authenticated flows
  • Account and identity: registration, login, MFA, profile, KYC/verification
  • Cashier: deposit, withdrawal, and payment-method management
  • Promotions: bonus, free-bet, loyalty, and campaign logic
  • Back office and admin: operator and CRM web interfaces, where in scope
  • Supporting surfaces: affiliate portals and other authenticated web applications

What You Get

  • Findings, ranked by severity and business impact
  • Reproduction evidence, enough to fix without guesswork
  • Remediation guidance, practical and prioritized
  • An executive summary built for decision-makers
  • Retesting, included in the engagement
Why GameGuardz

Tested Like an iGaming Platform, Not a Generic App

  • Generic web testing looks for vulnerabilities in the application. We go further, testing how legitimate functionality can be abused across player accounts, bonuses, wagering, payments and withdrawals.
  • iGaming knowledge tells us where to push further. We test how value moves through the platform, how critical flows interact, and where business logic can create exploitable paths conventional testing may miss.
Faq

QUESTIONS WE GET ASKED

Both, but business logic is where iGaming-specific loss actually happens. We test named vulnerability classes and the ways your bonus, wagering, and cashier rules can be legitimately abused.

Yes. Testing runs against a non-production environment or an explicitly agreed environment, under rules of engagement set before work begins. Live player funds and data are never put at risk.

Web application testing covers the full player-facing and back-office application, including everything rendered in the browser. API testing goes deeper into the endpoints themselves. Most engagements run both together where the platform depends on it.

Yes, for the deepest and most representative results. Authenticated, multi-role testing across player, VIP, and staff/admin access is how access-control gaps between roles actually surface.

Injection, XSS, SSRF, IDOR, and broken access control, authentication and session flaws, business-logic and race-condition abuse, insecure file upload, misconfiguration, and sensitive-data exposure, mapped to the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide and Top 10.

Test Your iGaming Platform the Way It Gets Attacked

One scoping call is enough to map your application surface and agree on what's worth pressure-testing first: cashier, bonus logic, or the player-account boundary.
